Russian River fieldwork completes just before Shelter In Place enacted

With coronavirus rapidly spreading around the country, we knew it was unlikely we would be able to do fieldwork later in the season. In order to be able to fulfill commitments between CALeDNA and our collaborators at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, we collected nearly 200 sediment samples for eDNA analysis along the Russian River. Oh man, do we have stories! My favorite was Nick wading through an ice-cold river, Anna saving us from getting towed by sporting a Racer 5 sweatshirt, and of course, the AirBnB outdoor hot tub! Thanks everyone who volunteered to complete this fieldwork!
